Announcement: New Strategic Partnership Between Puragen and Nova Q
We are delighted to announce a new strategic partnership between Puragen (formerly CPL Activated Carbons) and Nova Q, the leading activated carbon suppliers in Ireland.
Founded in Dublin in 2009 by Julian Beatty, Nova Q delivers products and process innovations to environmentally conscious decision-makers across Ireland, the UK, and Europe, focusing on helping businesses on their journey "beyond net zero."
Puragen stands at the forefront of activated carbon filtration, providing end-to-end purification solutions for cleaner air, water, and energy. Building on decades of technical expertise, Puragen provides end-to-end purification services, from carbon selection and engineering support to mobile filtration, spent carbon reactivation, and waste handling. This lifecycle approach ensures efficient, compliant, and environmentally responsible performance for customers across multiple industries. Separate reactivation facilities for ‘green list’ (drinking water and food grades) and ‘amber list’ (industrial/environmental grades) mean that Puragen is uniquely positioned to support spent carbon recycling for the Irish market.
Trusted by leading companies across the UK, US and continental Europe, Puragen continues to advance its technologies through ongoing R&D, ensuring its customers stay ahead of evolving environmental and regulatory challenges. Its award-winning technology for the detection, capture, and permanent elimination of PFOS, PFOA, and other persistent organic pollutants (POPs) has been independently validated and recognised across the industry.
Nova Q and Puragen have a long history of supplying activated carbon to segments of the Irish market. Through this new partnership, Nova Q is now able to provide the full range of Puragen's leading mobile filter and carbon reactivation services. Spent carbon will be recycled using Puragen’s advanced REACT-Sys reactivation technology. With a local stockholding hub in Dublin, Nova Q will now deliver a fully integrated, end-to-end activated carbon service.
Additionally, Nova Q will expand its range of activated carbons, including the full range of potable water products, as well as Puragen's award-winning 'Search, Capture and Destroy,' PFAS abatement technology, now available to water treatment facilities throughout Ireland.
This partnership marks a significant step forward in the availability and delivery of activated carbon filtration solutions in Ireland. It also supports Nova Q’s continued growth and ambition to provide best-in-class environmental sustainability solutions to its customer base. To meet increasing demand, new team members have joined Nova Q’s expanding operations, further strengthening local expertise and service capacity.
We look forward to the positive impact this partnership will bring to both our customers and the environment.
