Mycorrhizal Fungi
We have been working with a client down in Geashill, Co. Offally over the last few months – they’ve been really pleased (as have we) with the results on their Winter Crops of some of Nova Q’s bacterial products.
What’s particularly good to see in the attached photo are the grey areas – these are mycorrhizal fungi. They have a symbiotic relationship with the crop’s roots: the roots release sugars for the fungi, and in return the fungi make soil nutrients available to the crop. Healthy soils mean healthy crops – and so less need for artificial fertilisers and pesticides.
Have a look at the Soil Biology page if you would like to know more, or simply get in touch with us on LiveChat. The Crop Nutrition page also has details of both the Nutrel and AquaClean ranges which Nova Q have available for agriculture.
