Where most of the suppliers of wastewater treatment solutions focus on engineering and hydraulics, our focus is on biology, enhancing functionality and boosting slow-to-grow species that are critical for optimised solutions.
Nova Q has extensive experience in treating a whole range of water-related problems, such as:
Nitrification
The biological removal of ammonia with nitrifying bacteria. These species are amongst the slowest to grow and hardest to establish in commercial wastewater treatment. Our expertise in this area is supported by a range of nitrifying products, both ready to use and produced in bulk to order.
Denitrification
Along with nitrifying bacteria, we also supply denitrifying bacteria. Some of these function in aerobic conditions, which can be enhanced to give operators more choice in nitrate removal strategies.
Sludge reduction
The production of sludge is inevitable in most wastewater treatment processes, but through the clever generation of exo-enzymes, this sludge production can be minimised, saving significant costs.
Abnormal wastes
Industrial processes, such as food production, chemical treatments and pharmaceuticals, often result in difficult-to-treat waste streams. Whether hydrocarbon or complex chemicals, we can acclimatise a range of bacteria products to tackle most waste streams simply and cost-effectively.
Troubleshooting:
In addition to the products above, our approach to troubleshooting a water treatment plant is performed from a biological perspective, taking our understanding of the biological processes and species involved to quickly identify the fastest routes to remedy the situation.
Training:
We run a range of water treatment training courses, particularly focussed on biological processes and nitrification. We also customise these for client data and site design, adding more value for the team. These can be both in person and online.
