With the start of the closed period beginning October 15th we have some advice on how to make the most out of your slurry:
Never take risks when agitating slurry. The H2S in slurry gas is deadly.
Empty your tanks as low as you can before the closed period.
Plan your winter AquaClean™ treatment with first applications to the nearly empty tanks to cut costs.
Slurry is a valuable asset - consider advanced methods of delivery for the spreading season now - we advise dribble bar or trailing shoe.
When it comes to spreading - watch your soil temperatures. We advise spreading on soils above 8 degrees centigrade.
If you are using an additive like AquaClean™, consider ways to measure performance: Agitation time, pumpability, nutrient value, grass quality, odour, etc.
New in 2017:Nova Q will be offering distribution of brewed AquaClean™ Bacteria from the bioreactor systems for application direct to slurry tanks. This was successfully piloted in 2016 with very positive response from Farmers.
